                                         LETTER OF iNTRODUCTION

On 1 October 2010, the Model T Ford Club of Australia Incorporated (MTFCA) announced the
next International T Rally staged in Australia will be held in its home state South Australia
between Sunday 29 September and Saturday 5 October 2013. The chosen venue is the
picturesque Barossa centred approx. 65 kilometres by road from Adelaide. The rally will be a
hub rally designed to travel to five great locations on country roads suitable for Model T-ing.

The MTFCA was established in South Australia in February 1964 and as such was the first T
Ford Club in Australia. Based in Adelaide, the club has about 200 members, mainly in
metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia but also in Victoria, New South Wales,
Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

In April 2009, the MTFCA established a Rally Committee tasked to organise and stage what will
be the 11th National Rally in 2013. This Committee works autonomously to the management
structure of the club and comprises eight enthusiastic members with many years between them
of both rallying and organising rallies. These are David Carver, David Dunn, John Eastick
(Chair), Neil Hofmeyer, Trevor Norley, Josie Paine, Brian Teakle and Bob Yates.

One of the Rally Committee’s first tasks was to develop a unique identifier for the rally that
would be catchy and reflect what a rally is all about. After a naming process amongst a group of
members at the MTFCA’s Annual Run in mid 2009, the name Lizzies Convene in 20-13
(pronounced twenty thirteen) was selected from many ideas and formed the basis of a striking
logo design as shown at the top of this letter. This logo will appear on various other Rally
materials from time to time.

A Pre-Rally lapel badge (refer page 2) featuring the Rally logo has been struck and is available
in limited quantities for immediate sale at $10 each. You purchasing this badge will assist the
Rally Committee to meet its ongoing operating costs for the Rally and contain costs for Entrants.

The Rally will be based in the town of Tanunda, central to the Barossa as shown on the map
included on page 2 of this letter. This map shows the geography of the area in relation to
Adelaide.

The Barossa is Australia’s most famous wine region and a popular tourism destination in South
Australia, endowed with a diverse culture and friendly people, picturesque country side, many
places of interest (both old and new) and plentiful choice of food and excellent accommodation
of all types. The terrain and country roads are ideal for pleasurable Model T-ing.

The Rally Committee has assembled a Rally Pack that comprises the following information:

     · this Letter of Introduction
     · Entry Form
     · Information Sheet about the Barossa Visitor Information Centre (current version)
     · Barossa Regional Visitor Guide (current edition)
     · Barossa Accommodation Summary Sheet dated 1 October 2011
     · Sponsor materials

The Entry Form is self explanatory and includes all contact details and the Schedule of Rally
Entry Fees. You are encouraged to fill in this form and return it as soon as possible.

The Barossa Accommodation Summary Sheet and the associated Barossa Regional Visitor
Guide include all details that would allow you to make an accommodation choice of your own.
You are free to arrange your own booking or use the services of a centralised booking service
managed by the Barossa Visitor Information Service, the contact details of which are included in
its Information Sheet, the Guide itself and the Summary Sheet.

The Rally Committee is in search of sponsors for the Rally and anticipates these will emerge as
rally planning progresses right up to the rally itself. The Rally Committee has successfully
negotiated with Shannons to be the Rally’s principal sponsor and the Shannons’ brand will be
evident on various Rally materials that will be produced by the Rally Committee from time to
time. Others will be added as they are confirmed.

Lizzies Convene in 20-13 details (Rally Pack) can be accessed on the MTFCA’s website
www.modeltfordclubaustralia.org.au

In order of receipt of entries, Rally Entrant Numbers will be allocated around 2 weeks prior to
the rally and advised to all Entrants at Registration Day on Sunday 29 September 2013.

The Rally Committee will issue Newsletters from time to time, with the first one being distributed
in October 2011.

The MTFCA and the Rally Committee will appreciate you joining us on this rally and commend it
to you and your family and friends.

Happy Model T-ing !

On behalf of the Rally Committee
